The trip from one city to another for about 150 km takes 80 min. The trip from the city boarder to the city center sometimes another 80 min. Now the Ford motor company has found a solution for the trip!
Parking at the suburbs of the city and using the e-bike which will be transported in the rear trunk of the car! Ford will also try to make an app to compute the time you will solve. And in the near future maybe the car can drive autonomous from one to another city.
Wow! Thats a great idea, the solution of the mobility problem.
Doe`s the Ford company think we are crazy?
Take the train from one city to another - or the bus - use the publik bicycles, which are located at the train station and you do not need a car. You are faster, it is cheaper and you can work during the ride.
It is not necessary to engage hundreds of engineers, a global car company and millions of dollars to come to such a conclusion.
Please use your brain and find better solutions.
You can built park houses with bike stations in it. The car drivers can use them with a combination ticket. They can drive with the bike, leave it at any station in the city - see Nice or Vienna - come back when they would like. There could be a flat tax at the parking house if you use the e-bike instead of the car. If you have something to transport, you can use special transport bikes - see the Netherlands. In the future city center there should be parking houses for bikes. During the next years the existing parking houses have to have 50 parking slots for bikes and 20 for e-bikes. To hold the license, the parking houses have to invest in new access for bikes.
That are new ideas - more or less!
