Weapons for the Ukraine - the only way?

The Ukraine - less than 1000 km from our capital Vienna - is still a place of war. Death, destroyed cities, people are running for their lives.

A peace treaty which does not work.

How can all this go on?

Not with new weapons for the Ukraine. Russia has enough weapons for the next 100 years, the US can also send new weapons - with means much higher costs then Russia - to the Ukraine.

A new cold war could be the result with a hot spot in Europe.

It is more than a tragedy that this war could happen now and here.

The Krim and the east part of the Ukraine is lost, definitely lost. This has to be accepted!

Europe and the US have to support the country economical and political. 

Economic growth, a positive future perspective for the people could be the only way.

How long will it be possible for Mr. Putin to support the Krim and the eastern party of the Ukraine? Not long! He has big economic problems in his own country and all the people from the Krim are waiting for the economic growth. They will not wait long. They would like to have it now!

The hope of the people in all parts of the former Ukraine is a little bit of luxury, a chance to see other countries, a positive future for the children, a so called normal life.

If we, the western countries, help the Ukraine to growth, the Crimean people will not wait. They will try to get back to the Ukraine.

Let us use the money for the economic growth and not for new weapons, for universities, for education and a new high tech industry.

The money we spend will come back to us!  With economic growth we can also help us.It will be cheaper and more successful in the long run. 

Let`s remember the Marschall plan after WW II. It was a big help for the way back of Europe. Make a new Marshall plan for the Ukraine.
