China master of pollution?

Only a few year ago - during the Olympic games in Beijing - the air pollution was big problem. In the times before and after the games, Beijing was surrounded by a yellow and grew fog. China was  the world master in pollution, and is it also right now. But the way of China to a clean industry is more and more visible. A lot of money was and will be invested in green industry and in the production of alternative energy.

At the same time the United States are starting with a new big industrial plus, supported by the new fracking technology. This helps the USA with the carbon dioxide output, but does not help with the pollution in general.

And what is going on in Europe? We do not have cheap energy resource which could boost our economy. We are investing in alternative technologies, but not in the infrastructure of the energy transport. A growth in the production of solar energy, geothermic power plants and wind energy is a big thing in Europe. The industry is located hundreds of kilometers away. So first thing will be to invest in the infrastructure and the 2nd thing will be to find a way to store the energy. Wind is not always blowing, sun not always shining, but how? 

Storage hydro power stations, like Kaprun in Austria is possibility, but limited because of the protection of the Alps, maybe to convert the energy into gas and transport and store like that.

Another possibility is to use batteries, high energy batteries with new technology. Good idea, but!!!!! The technological leader is located in…… China.

So we have to be prepared that in a few years China will show us the way in a new future!

Or we invest more money in new technologies and open the mind of our people.
