The pendulum swings back

During the 18th and at the beginning of the 19th century France was the centre of the European culture. Everyone who would like to be modern has to learn french and has to look to France for the latest developments. Then during the 19th century, after the unification of Germany the german science was the famous development in the world. The best students from all over the world came to Germany to learn from the best.  After World War I and WW II, the United States have been the number one country in the world. The USA are the main player in all parts, in economics, in science, in democracy and in computer science. Now after the election of the new US president a process is more visible which startet some years ago.

The pendulum swings back. 

In politics, France with the new president, Canada with Justine Trude, Germany with Angela Merkel are more and more in the focus of the future developments.

This will not change the world immediate, but this will start a process, which could end in a better world, or could go in the other direction. And what will be with China and Russia?
